The Law Firm of Davis and Cornuaud is a trial-oriented firm.  Our main trial expertise has been in Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) defense.  However, both Jerry Spencer Davis and Scott A. Cornuaud have, and will, try any kind of criminal case in state court, including cases alleging Murder, Capital Murder, Assault, Sexual Assault, Intoxication Manslaughter, Burglary, Robbery, Drug Possession or Drug Manufacturing, and others. 

Jerry Spencer Davis received his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University in 1971. Prior to earning his law degree he earned a B.S. and M.A. in Political sciences from East Texas State University, now Texas A & M at Commerce. He is a former elected District Attorney and County Attorney of Hunt County.

Scott Cornuaud is also a former Hunt County prosecutor. He received his Juris Doctor from the Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in 1997. Cornuaud is also a Certified Public Accountant holding an M.B.A. from the University of Dallas and a B.B.A. from Texas A & M at Commerce.

Our law firm and staff believe strongly in criminal jury trials and in the belief that an accused is innocent until proven guilty.  Our firm also realizes that the system, however, often requires the accused to prove their innocence.     

Mr Cornuaud also practices family law, including divorce, custody, contested property issues, and adoption.  He is an aggressive advocate and will not hesitate to go to a jury on appropriate contested issues.
